NATALIE’S FITNESS BLOG

Hi everyone, and welcome to my iNutrition fitness blog!  My goal in these posts is to inspire you to make positive changes in your own health and well-being, by sharing my fitness and nutrition tips with you and encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone.

Yes, I know many of you look at my competition photos and think, “I’ll never reach that level of fitness!”.  Well, you don’t have to be a champion fitness model and athlete to enjoy all the benefits of feeling toned, energized and healthy.

I’ve always had a passion for competitions, and have devoted much of my life to excelling at what I do.    I train 6 days a week.  I do have a lot of discipline, and through the years I’ve learned a lot about proper nutrition, and effective exercise.  I believe in training naturally, without performance enhancing or pushing myself to the limits.

And I have a day job!  Training and competing isn’t my entire life. I believe in living a balanced lifestyle.  You don’t have to live in a gym to achieve the body you’ve always wanted.  And it’s never too late.  No matter what your age, you can start taking steps today that will keep you youthful and vibrant through the years.

What are you waiting for?  Join me on an exciting journey to a new you!  Check my blog often, email me your questions and comments, and share your own success tips at Natalie@iNutrition.com

About Natalie:

Since winning her first figure competition in 2005, Natalie Waples has quickly made a name for herself, consistently winning or placing in the top tier in her category in numerous national and international competitions. She captured the CBBF World Qualifier Overall title in Figure, represented Canada at the World Competition in Spain, and was the winner of her Figure Class at the 2008 Arnold Amateur Figure Championships.

A native of Northern Ontario, Natalie graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honors Bachelor of Commerce degree, and works full time as a human resources officer for the Canadian government in Ottawa.

Natalie has always been active in sports, and became involved in pageant-type modeling when she was a teenager. These competitions allowed her to develop skills in both stage presentation and public speaking. She is currently producing her second fitness video Building a Beautiful Body II.

Natalie is trained by Ottawa-based Doug Schneider. Her favorite cheat foods are peanut butter and toffee rice cakes. Her favorite exercises are the incline dumbbell press and sissy squats. Her goal is to obtain her IFBB (International Federation of Body Building and Fitness) Pro card in Competitive Figure and to grace the cover of an international fitness magazine.
